Conditions of use of the Food and Law website (the “website”)
The website is owned by Food and Law, a law firm and consultancy firm specialised in Spanish and European food legislation with offices at Calle San Pedro 36, 24007 Leon, Spain, and Rue de la Longue Haie 27, Brussels, Belgium.
Use of the website is subject to the following conditions. Please read them carefully. Your access to the website and use of its content means that you have read and agreed to them.
1.- Conditions of use
1.1 Food and Law has prepared the material on the website for information purposes only. It may not
reflect the most recent legislation or case law on the matters analysed, and we may change, expand
upon or update it without notification.
1.2 The material on the website may not, under any circumstances, be considered to replace legal or any other kind of advice. Accessing it does not constitute or imply a lawyer-client relationship, nor any other kind of trust-based or professional relationship with Food and Law. You should not act on the basis of the information on this website without first seeking appropriate professional advice. Likewise, you should not send any confidential information to Food and Law without first consulting one of our lawyers or food consultants and receiving their authorization to send it.
1.3 The links on the website may direct you to other websites and/or applications managed by third parties, over which Food and Law has no control. Food and Law is not responsible for the content or the state of these websites and applications, and access to them via the website does not mean that Food and Law recommends or approves their content.
2.- Limitation of liability
2.1 You use the website at your own risk. Food and Law does not assume liability for any errors or omissions in their content or any other content that may be accessed through them. Food and Law does not assume liability for any damage arising from using the website, or for actions carried out based on its information.
2.2 Food and Law does not guarantee absence of virus or other elements that could damage or alter your computer system, electronic documents or files. Therefore, Food and Law does not accept liability for any damage that these elements could cause you or third parties.
3.- Data protection
3.1 Food and Law will treat all information you provide when providing personal information or sending curriculum-vitae with utmost confidentiality: it will exclusively use this information to handle it for the appropriate purpose (advise you as a client or screen job applicants).
3.3 You may exercise your rights to access, correct, delete or oppose data by sending a request by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to any of the addresses mentioned at the top of this document. Your request must include your name and surname, address for correspondence, photocopy of national identity card or passport, and details of the right exercised.
4.- Industrial and Intellectual Property Rights
The General Conditions herein contained shall not be construed as to assign any industrial or intellectual property rights over the Food and Law site or over any of the parts thereof. Users are therefore expressly prohibited to carry out any reproduction, transformation, distribution, public communication, making available, extraction, reusing, resending or in any way using, by any means or procedure, of any of the parts of the Food and Law site, except when it is lawful to do so or authorisation has been provided by the holder of the relevant rights.
The user may visualise and obtain a temporary private copy of the contents for exclusive and private use in his/her computer systems (hardware and software), provided that the intended purpose is not to develop any commercial or professional activity. The user must abstain from obtaining or attempting to obtain, the contents by means or procedures other than those which have been made available to him/her or indicated for that purpose, or which are normally used on the Internet (provided that the latter do not imply a risk of damage or uselessness for the Food and Law site).
User shall respect at all times all the industrial and intellectual property rights existing over the Food and Law site, whether owned by Food and Law or by third parties.
5.-Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These General Conditions shall be governed by Spanish law.
